Obtaining Service

Starting service with Desktop Webworks is easy.

1. Make some plans for your website:  what you want to do with it and how you would like it to look. (For some help in this regard, see our Examples page.)
2. Read our Policies statement.
3. Fill out the form on our Contact Us page.
4. After we have received your form, we will contact you to discuss the specifics of your website, decide on final cost and set up a schedule for completion of your site.
5. Once all the particulars have been agreed upon, we will send you a written contract detailing the work we have discussed.
6. Before work begins, you will need to send a check for 50% of the total cost of your website, the signed contract and any materials that cannot be transmitted electronically, to:

After we have started work, we will be contacting you according to an agreed upon schedule to keep you informed of how your site is coming together and to gather your input for the project.

Policies

• Desktop Webworks will not participate in the construction or maintenance of any website that contains "adult" content and reserves the right to determine what constitutes "adult" content.
• Desktop Webworks also reserves the right to refuse work on any website in which we do not agree with the content, or find the content objectional.
• 50% of the total cost of your website must be paid before work will begin. In the event that you cancel the services of Desktop Webworks before completion of your website, this initial payment will be forfeited by you and kept by Desktop Webworks as a "kill fee" for work completed.
• All rights to a website constructed by Desktop Webworks belong to you and all work done by Desktop Webworks is done as "Work for Hire."
• Once completed, a copy of your website will remain with Desktop Webworks for the period of one year, for back-up protection and to facilitate any maintenance or changes that are needed.
• Your website will never be used in any type of promotion or advertisement by Desktop Webworks without your permission.
• Your personal information, including passwords, credit card information, phone numbers, mail address and email address will not be released to anyone.
